This month’s Carmel Valley Women’s Club 2014 Fashion Show was an immediate success, according to nearly 200 attendees who filed into Pebble Beach’s Inn at Spanish Bay for the event. Hundreds of silent auction items, plus a batch of live auction trips, dinners and country “escapes” helped the bottom line.
Then there was the fashion show. A runway filled with smiling children and acrobatic adult models made the entire pageant a circus in motion. The fashions, provided by local shops, Casa del Soul, Ep!phany, J.Jill, Nest, Robert Talbott, Stephan Cori, Patrick James, Heaven and Star Child boutiques, were le dernier cri, and accessories and gifts from Cole Hann, Cos Bar and Nothing Bundt Cakes sweetened the look. The tempo was strong and swift, and the models moved sinuously to upbeat music.
The fashion show has been a mainstay of the Women’s Club philanthropy for the past 65 years. It helps support the organization’s foundation for non-profit contributions. Check elsewhere on this page for the beneficiaries of the foundation’s gift program.Read More
